Issue 7: HOME is headlined by Doris Hồ-Kane, the archivist behind 17.21 WOMEN and the baker-owner of Bạn Bè, which is recognized as the first Vietnamese American bakery in New York.

Bạn Bè sits on a leafy street in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Carroll Gardens. It’s a modest yet enchanting space. On our cover for Issue 7, Doris stands in front of the curtain that hangs softly in the window of her bakery. This curtain, hand-made by her mother, represents the colours of freedom, safety, and new beginnings.
